Intersectoral Action

Intersectoral Action articles address topics, methods or research outcomes that fall within the following proposed definition: “Intersectoral action, also known as intersectoral collaboration, refers to various sectors of society working together toward a common goal. This approach includes government departments (e.g., health, education, environment, justice); community members; non-profit organizations and businesses. Relationships are key to intersectoral action and can be vertical (across organizational levels) or horizontal (within organizational levels). This approach is based on principles of co-development, co-ownership and co-accountability” (National Collaborating Centre for Determinants of Health, Glossary of Essential Health Equity Terms: https://nccdh.ca/learn/glossary/).
