Analyse des besoins de formation des infirmier·ères en première ligne en matière de coordination des soins et des services : protocole d’une étude à devis mixte

Résumé
Introduction : La coordination des soins et des services vise à améliorer la cohérence et la continuité des soins et des services. Le personnel infirmier en première ligne joue un rôle central dans ce processus, mais demeure souvent peu outillé pour l’assurer pleinement.
Objectif : Ce projet de recherche vise à analyser les besoins de formation continue des infirmier·ères à la coordination des soins et des services afin de leur offrir une formation qui réponde à ces besoins et d’optimiser ainsi leur pratique professionnelle.
Méthodes : Un devis mixte séquentiel explicatif, quantitatif puis qualitatif, sera utilisé. Le « Modèle de coordination des soins et des services par les infirmier·ères pour les personnes ayant des besoins complexes » et le cadre de référence sur l’analyse des besoins de formation de l’Institut national de santé publique du Québec guideront l’étude. La phase quantitative consistera en une enquête (questionnaire auto-administré) auprès de 150 coordinateur·trices de 2 établissements de santé au Québec (Canada) qui documentera leurs caractéristiques et leurs besoins de formation continue. Des analyses descriptives et bivariées (ANOVA) seront effectuées. La phase qualitative visera ensuite à complémenter et à expliquer comment les caractéristiques de l’environnement de pratique influencent les besoins perçus, à l’aide de 4 groupes de discussion auprès de 20 coordinateur·trices au total, et fera l’objet d’une analyse thématique. Les données seront intégrées par triangulation convergente comparant les résultats quantitatifs et qualitatifs.
Discussion et retombées anticipées : Les résultats de cette étude permettront d’identifier les besoins de formation continue de la population ciblée et de guider le développement d’une formation adaptée, contribuant au renforcement des compétences ainsi qu’à une offre de services de qualité.
