Les perceptions des professionnel·les sur les défis liés à la pratique auprès des parents en contexte pédiatrique

Résumé
Objectif : Cette étude vise à décrire les perceptions des professionnel·les sur les défis liés à la pratique auprès des parents en contexte pédiatrique.
Méthode : Un devis qualitatif descriptif basé sur la méthode de l’incident critique, selon une perspective écosystémique, a été utilisé auprès de 15 professionnel·les.
Résultats : L’analyse des données a permis d’identifier 4 catégories de défis interreliés, c’est-à-dire, les défis: 1) dans le rapport à la pratique auprès des parents; 2) personnels dans le rapport à soi; 3) relationnels dans le rapport aux parents; et, 4) contextuels dans le rapport au dispositif institutionnel.
Discussion et conclusion : Les défis rencontrés par les professionnel∙les dans leur pratique auprès des parents relèvent à la fois de facteurs qui soutiennent ou entravent cette pratique. Les contraintes liées au dispositif institutionnel modulent l’offre de services, limitant la capacité des professionnel∙les à déployer une pratique optimale. Cette étude souligne la spécificité et la complexité de la pratique auprès des parents en contexte pédiatrique, appelant à une attention accrue au soutien offert aux professionnel∙les pour l’exercice optimal de leur rôle.
